This Privacy Policy explains how Alice Springs Tennis Check-In (the “App”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the App and the companion website playingtennis.net (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

2. What we collect
Information you provide
- Name (first & last) – required to identify you on check-in lists.
- Player note (optional) – brief message visible to other players and coach.
- Mobile Number – optional.
- Availability status – e.g., checked-in, not playing, reserve/on-call.
Automatically collected (minimal)
- Basic device/app data for functionality and security (app version, timestamps, error logs).
- No precise location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers.
3. How we use information
- To operate the check-in lists and reserve queues (and mirror them on the website).
- To show your note to the coach and other players for tonight’s session.
- To send local notifications about coach updates (if enabled).
- To contact by mobile as necessary for scheduling (if provided).
- To maintain security, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
4. Sharing and disclosure
- Visible to players & coach: your name, reserve status, and your short note.
- Not sold; no ads. We do not sell your data or share it with ad networks.
- Service providers: we may use hosting or email providers to run the Service.
- Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety.
5. Legal bases
Where applicable (e.g., GDPR), we process (a) with your consent (submitting your name/note), and (b) for our legitimate interests in running club check-ins and court organisation.
6. Data retention
- Check-in entries are kept for active sessions and basic logs for audit/troubleshooting.
- You may request deletion at any time (see “Your rights”). When deleted, we remove your entries from active lists and future sessions; minimal logs may persist for security and legal compliance.
7. Your choices & rights
- Delete from the app: use Account & Support → Delete Account to remove your data from the Service.
- Update: you can change your note/status anytime; ask the coach to correct errors.
- Access/erasure: contact us at to request a copy or deletion.
- Notifications: you can disable app notifications in your device settings.
8. Children
The Service is intended for community club use. If you are under the age required by local law to consent, please use the Service with a parent/guardian/coach. If we learn we collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it. Any inappropraite text messages will be deleted.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use the Service accordingly.
10. International transfers
Data may be processed on servers located outside your state or country. We take steps to ensure appropriate protections consistent with this Policy.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Effective date” above. Material changes may also be announced in-app or on the website.
